The Sun Has Got It's Hat On

Summer Exhibition at Old Ginger

1b Bridge Studios, 318 - 326 Wandsworth Bridge Rd. London. SW6 2TZ

We met Fiona from Old Ginger wwhen she became the proud owner of a 'Thames' limited edition silkscreen by Andy McLynn. We got chatting and she told us about Old Ginger, her furniture showroom where she sells handcrafted designs made from recycled teakwood, amongst other things.

Well that sounded like a piece of us, so we all decided it would be fun to combine forces. Needless to say we are delighted to be hosting the Fourwalls Summer Exhibition in their gorgeous Fulham showroom.

A special preview evening and summer party will be held on Thursday 26 June which will be a unique opportunity to view a new range of sculpture and paintings by fourwalls' artists, together with fabulously stylish furnishings.

From patios to parlours, boudoirs to boardrooms, we'll demonstrate just how stunning art can look in the right setting.

Many of the artists will be joining us and there will be a fun competition where you can win a unique personalised art work, just for a bit of detective work.

The exhibition will continue until July 31st. All work is for sale with prices from £80 to £3,000.

Bristol Art Fair '08

We had a great time at the Bristol Affordable Art Fair last weekend. It was the first time we exhibited at this particular event, so it was an unknown entity when we set off down the M4 in the sunshine last Wednesday. Set in the Passenger Sheds just by Temple Meads Station the fair featured 55 galleries from all over the UK and attracted healthy crowds. Over the preview night and three days of the event we met some lovely people, saw some old friends and made some new ones, and most importantly had wonderful feedback from visitors about the artists we represent. I think we'll be back that way again next May.

Here are some photos of the gorgeous work we had on our stand . . . . taken before the people arrived!

adventures on the western front

The fourwalls team have made it to Bristol!

Our super new hire van is reminiscent of the very Scooby mobile that took the other famous 5 on many a crime busting adventure. Added to which Shammy's looking more and more like Velma with her new hair, and with all this fine weather Lara's tentatively considering the shorter length skirt this season.  Come to think of it, Dan has the option of Fred or Shaggy, all dependant on the beard clippers making an appearance.  But we're missing the all important Scoob........

So, Scooby Dooby Do ..... Where ARE you? We've got some work to do now.

Paintings to hang, people to see ....
And we would have got away with it too, if it wasn't for you pesky kids!

If you would like an invitation to the fair, including tickets to the private view, please contact us by email with your full name and address. The invitations will be mailed out by post on a first come first served basis.

gone painting

With spring in the air, and a new (non basement) studio space, i've been all inspired. Ok, so the sun has only shone through the windows in bursts, interspersed with rain and hail, but even those brief rays have been ample so far.

Still work in progress, but have a peek anyways .....

New things at fourwalls

Hello, and welcome to the fourwalls blog spot. Being new to this - and above the age of having natural blog instincts - I'm going to ask you to bear with me! I used to write daily (with a pen and paper) and am sure I'll get into the swing of this soon ish.

So, we here at fourwalls central have a new interactive web site, and lots of news to share with you. With plenty of fairs still to come this year, new limited edition prints in the pipeline and some tasty group shows around and abouts, the team are all very busy painting and making and planning.

I'll be keeping the blog updated with news, views and reviews of ours and other exhibitions, and hopefully some of the others in the team will be popping in to share their thoughts too. In the meantime you can look through the artist profiles we have on here, check out our diary of forthcoming events, and view our gorgeous range of limited edition silk screens - all are available to purchase and covet.

New experiences are, after all, filled with new opportunities!
See you soon, Lara x
