Affordable Art Fair Spring 08 Collection

A big thank you to everyone who came along and enjoyed this years' super spring collection. We had a great fair, made some  new friends, and completely wore ourselves out!

The organisers of the fair have reported that 22,500 art lovers came to Battersea Park over the four days of the event, and a record number fell in love with a piece of art work and took it home to live with them. You may be suprised by this, especially in a time  when we are fed daily news of a credit crunch. Were buyers looking for a safe investment for their money or was it a case of beauty in the face of adversity?  A good question, and without asking every visitor you'd be hard pushed to get an accurate answer.

However, on that note we were interested to read the thoughts of  Michelle Ogundehin, editor of Elle Decoration, in the May edition. She says
" As markets topple and credit gets crunched, it seems to me that it's more important than ever before to invest only in what you really love, things that effect you emotionally, because at the end of the day, being surrounded by those things is what will keep you going."

We agree, wholeheartedly.
